Back to Wazza Words!

Category : English , language , Languages , learning

Been a very, very busy time for me! But, let’s get back to learning more words…

This week’s word is:

PROLEGEMENOUS

I saw this in an article about the AARP National Spelling Bee (for my non-U.S. readers, AARP is the American Association of Retired Persons, but the initials are used far more than the entire name). The word means introductory or preliminary.

And, here’s the learning quote, from Anatole France:

An education isn’t how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It’s being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don’t.
